Background
Sarcoid Life
was founded by the late Dan Stoddard with a
mission to help people learn more about the
disease sarcoidosis. He chose the
simple words 'Sarcoid Life' to remind us that
this disease can be a part of all aspects of
a patient's life - and also primarily,
because Dan felt it emphasized the positive,
the LIFE, and the living
that can still be experienced and enjoyed in
spite of the disease.
Through a
partnership which began in 2006, this Web
site and content are now maintained by the
Foundation for Sarcoidosis Research with
generous support from the Cedar Street
Foundation.
The History of the
Sarcoid Life
Diamond Ribbon Logo &
Lapel Pin
Diamonds are beautiful gems that may have
certain flaws and imperfections, but we
still hold them in high regard. People with
sarcoidosis may also have some flaws and
imperfections, but they are great people
struggling to make the best of every day.
